We use German Shorthaired Pointers and Labrador Retrievers exclusively in our
guiding. We have several dogs of each breed and will generally have a litter every
year. You can purchase them as pups or, with special arrangements, leave them
wuth us and when you pick him or her up, they'll be "started" and ready
for the field.
Mack and Shasta are the main two Shorthairs and they've already
had one litter. Mack won his first field trial at 8 months old and Shasta is unstoppable.
She would litteraly hunt until she dropped over dead. I still have three of their
pups that are now in training and are showing the same qualities as their parents.
Dave bought his shorthaits from "Ariel's Kennels" in Peoria, IL. and
it's proving to be a great bloodline.
Our labs are not papered, but are
purebred. Every pup that we have sold or kept have turned out to be great hunters.
